I have had the bad experiances on the this site of being accused of Style theft pose theft and character theft. I am not one to go crying to the admins just because people start accussing me of shit that is simply not true. I just try to talk it out with them and see if there is a way to change how that exact complaint of the day could be remedied. So far the biggest one yet was my Unicorn and tricorn characters.

[link] <-- this one i was accused of ripping off nekopheonix's blue unicorn character--- at the time of making her I had not known or seen any of said deviant's art, so this is an honest mistake and i'm still trying to get her character design down.
I'm only listing a few here because this is just the general outline of this accusation. I was accussed of stealing Klars style... and frankly... yah it was INLFUENCED... But I can't go through all my images and everytime it looks like someone elses styel got *omg this styel (C) whoever and so and so so flame me*
I have the problem that my style fluctuates and is easily influenced by others. If I look at say Barachan's art and then end up drawing something I most likely come up with something looking in her style.. and then I spend four hours trying to change it.
I do not believe that there is anything called a set copyrighted style, everyone is influenced by everyone, even the professionals are influenced by some other artists and it shows. Conisder that a style simiilarity as a concept of compliment to the orginater of that style. It means people like it and want to try and find their own version of it.
The same basicly goes with poses.. there are only so many ways a body can be positioned before the same poses start showing up again. THe only time that this is a bad thing is if one lines up the two images and they perfectly align/shadow each other. THEN That is a direct tracing and should never be complimented and cheered on. Tracing is not a form of art, tracing should only be used as a form of learning and never should the tracee should take credit of that traced art as his own creation. It does not matter about the fact that the person has traced it by his own hand. It is a tracing of professional or otherwise already published art and is part of the copy right infringment policies that many art sites/magazines have to follow. Those sites that do not follow the policies or make up their own to allow tracing is not a site to be credited at all with originalitly or to believe that they will protect an aritst's right to have his art not traced,copied, or modified in anyway and posted.
